William’s P.O.V
“Theo!” I yell in a panic as Blaze jumped from my hands and makes a dash for it. “Shit!”
I take off after the fat thing that had no right being as fast as he suddenly was.
“How-” Theo starts before he breaks off into a wheeze.
Blaze hops through the overgrown grass, heading for the woods in a useless attempt at fleeing his bath.
Since Damon was so meticulous with his routine grooming of Blaze, he rarely bathed him. But today it was time for Blaze to reacquaintance himself with water, and surprise surprise, the paunchy boy wasn’t having it.
Theo laughs after me, his loud, amused chuckles taunting me while he tries uselessly to say something. But with the way he was wheezing, he could barely get a word out without cracking up again.
“Don’t let him escape!” He eventually manages but by the time he got it out, I’d already snatched Blaze up before he hit the woods.
Looking down at him, I meet his glare head-on, “you want to escape next time? You know what you need to do.” Blaze kicks his legs at me but doesn’t manage to land a hit, I’d learned the importance of holding this guy at a distance.
Turning around with Blaze in my hands, I find Theo and Sassy staring at us.
Sassy’s tail was wagging furiously while she stood patiently beside Theo, her wet fur only making her happier than usual since she loved baths. Theo was just as drenched as she was, in his loose long sleeve top and shorts, barely any of him was dry after all of Sassy’s impromptu shaking.
With his sleeves rolled up and a wide smile that was clear to me from here, Theo looked like the perfect picture of summer happiness.
“I told you that he was going to make a run for it,” I say as I walk back to the little cleaning station we’d set up near the packhouse for the pets.
“And I told you not to let him,” Theo replies smartly as he gets Sassy’s shampoo and pours it onto her.
Sassy preens from the massage that follows as Theo happily rubs into her fur, his gentle hands making her melt like butter beside him while I tried not to drop the oversized mammal who was trying his best to end his life.
“It would be a lot easier if you did this,” I whine to Theo as I plop myself into my chair before I carefully set Blaze down into his large tub that barely had any water in it.
I was following all of Damon’s carefully laid out rules for bathing Blaze to a tee, and it still didn’t matter! No matter what I did, Blaze insisted on giving a bitch fit because it was me doing it and not his beloved Damon.
“If I were to bathe him, how would you two ever become friends?” Theo questions as he glances up at me, his blue eyes swirling with his amusement. “I’m sorry, I was under the impression that that was all you wanted from life.”
Picking up the hose, I press my finger to the trigger and smile as the water splashes all over him.
He jumps in surprise and that second of hesitation gives Sassy all the time she needs to shake herself off, effectively coating her cleaner with soap suds and even more water.
“Good girl Sassy!” I praise wanting her to do it again and to my delight, she does.
Theo looks at me after the second round, lips flat and unimpressed. I grin and send him an air kiss.
“I knew I picked the right one,” I say to Sassy who barks her approval.
When Theo doesn’t seek immediate revenge, I refocus my attention on Blaze who seemed to tire himself out with his third escape attempt and was now barely moving in his tub.
He didn’t seem to have the strength to jump out again, not that I understood how he managed it the first time… considering.
“Alright, let’s try this again,” I say as I scoop Blaze up from his underside, holding him just over the water with one hand while I cupped a bit of the water with my free hand and rubbed at his dirtied paws and backside. “And I swear to God Blaze, if you shit right now, I’m going to shave you.”
Blaze goes limp in my arms, either understanding and fearing my threat, or deciding to torture my wrist by giving his full weight over to me.
I wouldn’t be surprised if it broke.
But thankfully Blaze wasn’t squirming anymore and I took that as the win it was. Being gentle with him, I focus on cleaning the bottom of him since his topcoat was perfect, as it always was.
“See, you don’t have to be a dick and then I don’t have to be an asshole,” I whisper as I set him down to get a bit of soap, “we can be cordial.”
Blaze turns to me and though I couldn’t see him clearly, I knew the dick was glaring at me.
As I rub the soap between my fingers, I look up to Theo who was cooing over Sassy who was now on her back, more than happy to let him clean her belly while he gave her a good rub down.
I look back to Blaze and sigh.
“I’m sorry, but I think I’ll be taking over all of her bath times from now onwards,” Theo declares when he straightens and Sassy immediately stands, ready to be washed down again. “It’s just so easy with her.”
“I know,” I say longingly as I pick Blaze back up and start massaging the soap into the underside.
To be fair, Blaze was being pretty chill right now, but this was thirty minutes after I brought him down for a bath and he decided that violence was the only option.
I knew bunnies were scared of water and hated baths, but I’d seen Damon do this before, and I’d seen the way Blaze would basically fall asleep in his hands. Trust or not, this would’ve been a lot easier if he hadn’t kicked me a thousand times trying to get away.
My stomach still hurt from one of his particularly hard kick he’d managed to sneak in when I’d dared to relax for a millisecond.
While Theo washes the soap from an overjoyed Sassy, I put my all into being gentle with Blaze so that this at least tolerable for him. As much as I ‘hated’ him, I didn’t actually want him to be uncomfortable.
Living probably was enough of a chore for him, there was no reason for me to make it worse.
“Here’s the thing,” I start as I lift him a little higher to get his stomach again, “I know we don’t like each other, but we both like them.” I look to Theo and Sassy and turn Blaze in their direction, “we’re going to be together for a long time, I think the ride would be a lot less shit if we found a way to get along.”
I turn Blaze to face me and keep him at a distance since I was still half afraid he’d take the chance to piss all over me.
He doesn’t which I took to mean that he was open to negotiations.
“If I agree to reference your weight less, can you agree to not be an asshole?”
I was very aware that I was talking to Blaze as if he were a person, but since bunnies were very intelligent and Blaze had proven himself to have the mind of a devil, I wasn’t writing this off too quickly.
Blaze stares at me, his ears dropping to add to the picture of looking fed up and tired of being wet.
“I’ll throw in an extra two hours of private snuggle time for just you and Damon where I don’t interrupt,” I offer and that gets his ears perking. “Once a week,” his ears drop, “fine, twice.”
When Blaze doesn’t squirm away and lifts his ears again, I grin, “I take it we have a deal?”
Blaze lets his ears drop and I tell myself that that was a yes.
Lowering him back to his tub, I hum happily to myself while I wash the water from him, imagining how Damon would react if I picked Blaze up later and he let me.
If I snuggled him, he’d probably lose his mind.
“So I was right?” Theo hazards innocently. When I raise my head, I find him towelling down Sassy while he looked at me with a small smile. “You two are friends now.”
“Theo, you’re being unusually smug right now and I don’t like it.”
His smile only grows as he looks at me, “I think it’s quite the opposite. I think you enjoy this side of me very much.”
I did.
Since I’d been marked, Theo had been far more affectionate and playful with me and I adored it. He was always such a rock for Damon, and always for me too, but I’d always wanted to be his safe place too and I finally felt like I was.
He wasn’t being cautious with how much he said and exactly how he said it anymore, he was being more, well, him.
I knew Theo and though he had tried to hide it, there was always a part of him that had been scared and prepared for a day where I’d say that it was all too much, and that I couldn’t handle both him and Damon.
It was like he saw himself as a burden to Damon and I’s relationship when in truth, I loved him just as much as I loved Damon. There was no either-or, and there was definitely no favouritism when I shared completely different relationships with them both.
Theo was my core and Damon was my heart, I couldn’t function without them both.
Still, no amount of reassuring could take that type of fear away from Theo who always made sure he was on his best behaviour when we were together.
But thankfully, the mark had done the trick.
When he’d come forward and saw the indents for himself, Theo’s eyes had filled with tears before he’d picked me up and hugged me so tight my lungs wheezed. He’d kept me suspended while he jumped up and down in a rare showcase of all those emotions he tried to keep balanced.
They’d come out in an explosion of pure joy.
It was one of the happiest moments of my life and when he’d finally let me hug him back, I hadn’t let him go.
Since then, Theo had let himself go completely, not trying to be too perfect with me in fear that I’d pull away. He gave me access to all sides of him; his teasing side, his playful side, his joyful one and so much more.
I was getting to know more of him and I cherished every second of it.
With Theo’s knowing eyes still on me, I send him a harmless glare before replying. “I don’t know about friends, that seems like a stretch. But I’m happy to go with cordial for now.”
“I’ll take it,” Theo pulls the towel from Sassy, patting her gently to go ahead.
But Sassy seemed a bit shocked to be thrown back to reality where she didn’t have Theo’s attention and hands pampering her with rubs.
Turning to face him, she licks at his hand with a whine that makes Theo freeze. When he doesn’t do anything, she sits down and paws at him, silently begging for more pets.
Theo melts.
Squatting down to hug her even though she was still wet, Theo releases a soft keening sound as he pets her down again, whispering how amazing she was and how she was the best dog in the entire world.
Putting up with her ego after this would be a challenge.
While Theo loses his mind over Sassy, I finish up Blaze’s bath and carefully wrap him in a towel, drying him down as best as I can while he settled in my lap.
Since Theo wasn’t watching, I sneakily lift the end of my shirt to his mouth and Blaze hesitates for just a moment before he latches on.
With the fabric in his mouth, Blaze relaxes into me completely while I dry him, silently munching away without giving me any trouble.
Okay so maybeeeeeee the big guy was kind of cute. Maybe.
It was up for debate.
Nothing was confirmed yet, just a possibility. That’s all.
Blaze looks up at me as if sensing I was thinking about him. His big black eyes shift and twitch a little as he studies me, probably waiting for me to make a jab at him.
I don’t. Instead, I run my hand over his head, being gentle and careful so I didn’t snap him out of his happy trace. Blaze lets me pet him for a long while before he raises his head a bit and lets my shirt slip from his mouth so he can lick my hand.
He gives me a few licks before he lowers his head and goes back to nibbling on the ends of my shirt, leaving me staring wide-eyed at him.
“Why does he do that?” I’d asked Damon once when I’d witnessed Blaze licking his fingers as if they were dripping with honey.
Lifting him to his face, Damon had grinned while he’d nosed Blaze happily, “it means he likes the attention and he likes me.”
I’d watched Damon fawn over Blaze with mild interest before I’d gone to find Sassy. But now, as the words played over in my head, I had to physically bite my lip to stop myself from making some stupid noise of glee.
“You like me huh?” I whisper as I continue petting him, trying my best to convince myself that it wasn’t a big deal. “That’s cool I guess.”
…
“Cute fucking fatass,” I grumble as I hold him closer to me, “you win here. I’ll admit it, there’s more to you than the junk in your trunk.”
Unperturbed, Blaze keeps chewing on my shirt while we watch Sassy and Theo play together in cordial silence.
A smile quickly forms on my face as I watch Theo run around with Sassy on his heels, a wide smile on his lips while he ran her around in circles.
Sighing contentedly, I soak in the upcoming summer light that warms my skin while watch Theo warms my heart, an impossibly bright smile growing on my lips.
This. This was all I wanted from my life.
————
“Just admit it,”
“I refuse,”
“Theo,”
Theo shakes his head fervently, willing to sink with his ship rather than just admit that pineapple on pizza wasn’t as abominable as he’d made it out to be.
“You clearly like it,” I say gesturing to his empty plate that didn’t even house crumbs, “just admit that it’s good.”
Pushing the plate forward, Theo shakes his head fervently as if I’d just suggested heresy against his precious Goddess.
“I will do no such thing,” he wipes his mouth with his napkin, carefully avoiding my knowing gaze as best as he can. “Edible does not equate to enjoyable,” he lifts his glass of water, “I simply do not support food wastage and therefore was forced to eat it all.”
“Really?”
“Really.” He confirms promptly.
I watch Theo over the rim of his glass while he gulps it down. He eventually risks a glance my way, and seconds later, his face floods with colour as he shifts under my knowing gaze.
“We both know you loved it, but if you say you didn’t, then we’ll leave it at that.”
I shift myself forward a little more and Theo’s blush strengthens as I slide one of my legs between his, in a comfortable hold that would sit in place for the hug I couldn’t give him right now.
I smile at him, loving the reddening cheeks as he tentatively let his legs relax around my own.
Theo was an entertaining web of complexities sometimes.
I’d never take our physical touches to a place that would make him uncomfortable and he trusted me not to, but I’d noticed how much Theo seemed to enjoy simple touches like these recently.
He’s always loved hugs and cuddling together while we listened to an audiobook or some soft song, but now that I was marked, he loved handholding far more and having his skin on some part of me whenever we were together.
I loved it and I knew he did too, I just found it adorable how red he got whenever I initiated it or encouraged him.
“You enjoy playing with me far too much,” he comments as he sets his cup back down on his coaster and leans forward, letting his arms rest on the table.
“That’s because you make it so fun,” I reply with a wink that made him narrow his eyes in a mock glare, “you love it.”
“Yes, well, it’s hard not to love anything linked to you,” Theo comments while he reaches his hand over, turning it up for me. I immediately take it, intertwining our fingers and squeezing as those addictive shocks passed between us. He raises it and presses a gentle kiss to the back of my hand, “very hard.”
This time it’s my cheeks that heat up as a wide grin spreads across my lips and it takes everything inside of me not to jump across the table to squeeze him with a tight hug.
Sensing his win, Theo grins victoriously behind our hands, “should we head out?”
We clear the table and deliver our plates back to the vendor with a grateful smile before we exit the marketplace hand in hand.
Today wasn’t supposed to be one of Theo and I’s days, but when I’d woken up this morning to his glowing eyes, I hadn’t been able to stop myself from screaming as I tackled him in a hug.
It’d been far too long since it was just the two of us and I’d been way past overjoyed to make up for lost time with him.
And while we usually preferred spending our time with just the two of us in some quiet place, we’d both been in the mood to get out after bathing Sassy and Blaze, and since Theo’s cooking was hazardous, an early lunch seemed best.
While we side by side, fingers intertwined, I dart my eyes around the road greedily, trying to take in every detail I can from the mass of visual information that still hit me like a truck.
Where I’d once avoided looking at peoples’ faces, I now couldn’t stop myself from trying to memorize every detail of them. My mind struggling to cope with the new value I’d crafted around different features and basically everything in this world.
Small eyes, bushy brows, big lips, freckles, moles, scars. Every detail was like a reward and I cherished them all.
These last few days, I found myself dragging Damon outside at the crack of dawn so I could explore every inch of the pack with new eyes. And each day, it was like experiencing it for the first time all over again.
The pack lands were gorgeous.
Vibrant, healthy grass ran from end to end, housing strong, enamours trees that spoke of centuries of history. There were all types of flowers I’d convinced myself had something to do with magic because purple petals with black paint-like strokes seemed unnatural to me.
Either way, I loved it. Everything I saw brought me some semblance of joy, and that was more than I’d ever dreamed of for myself.
“This is where we part,” Theo says as we reach an intersection in the walkways.
“Noooo,” I groan as I turn to face him, stepping us out of the path of others while I hugged him tightly.
He chuckles, his arms wrapping around me as he smiles down at me, “a tragedy, I know, but we’ve both got people to see.”
I groan again, whining like a child who didn’t want to let go of their stuffie – Theo being said, stuffie.
“I’ll be home by the time you get back,” he assures me as he leans down to kiss my forehead, “and we can enjoy the rest of the day with a movie perhaps.”
He knew that would win me over. With my sight regained, it was hard not to spend all my time on the couch binging everything I’d missed.
“Okay,” I reply, my reluctance only growing when I remembered who Theo was meeting.
I was happy that Damon had made up with Amelia, and Theo with her wolf as an effect. I was. I just had some… reservations.
While my thoughts about her had improved far more after Damon and I talked about what their previous relationship had been, and all that had happened, I still couldn’t help the tension that came about when I thought about her.
It was just there and maybe it was jealousy or my protectiveness, but I knew I’d have to put in some effort to get to know Amelia in the future if I wanted us to get along.
And I did because, at the end of the day, she was Damon’s best friend – according to him – and she’d be a part of our lives forever now, so being friends would just make it all easier.
But that was the future, Theo was heading off to hang out with her wolf now and I was being a baby about it.
“Your emotions show on your face,” Theo comments as he passes a finger over my forehead which had crinkled with a frown. “and your thoughts are very loud.”
“You know it’s hard for me,” I complain while I try to remember all the tips Damon gave me for guarding my thoughts. But it was hard to compartmentalize thinking when I’d just done it all my life.
“I’m not complaining, I enjoying hearing how protective you get over us,” Theo replies as he pulls himself away from me, “it makes me very happy.”
“I’m sure it does,” I reply as I watch him back away, “I love you.”
“I love you too William,” he replies with a warm smile as our bond thrumbs between us, “I’ll see you in the evening, and do not forget to call Francis.”
I wouldn’t dare.
I watch Theo go until his blurred figure blends in with the rest. Only then do I turn and head to the trading market where I was supposed to be meeting Josey today.
While I walk, I unlock my phone and press the speed dial. The phone only rings twice before he answers with a perfunctory groan of annoyance.
“Good morning Francis,” I greet, making my voice so sickly sweet that it forced another tired groan from him.
“William,” he starts on a yawn, “how am I supposed to enjoy my early retirement if you don’t let me sleep in?”
“Hey, none of that,” I scold using the same tone and words he used with me when he was upset, “I promised I’d call, you more often, this is me living up to that promise.”
Francis grumbles something boarding between annoyance and acceptance while I weave my way through the now-familiar pack lands, sending a grateful smile to everyone who made space for me.
When I left my parent’s home with nothing but Damon and my freedom on my mind, I’d received an expanse of not so very happy messages from Francis who was way past upset at my sudden disappearance.
A trillion sorries later, Francis had finally caved enough to let me back into his good graces.
But it’d taken a lot of apologies and explanations to get him to forgive me. If I’d been thinking clearly, I would’ve at least called him the day after, but all that was on my mind was the pack and my new life.
Still, that didn’t excuse cutting him off after all Francis had done for me over the years, even if it wasn’t intentional.
But Francis knew that it wasn’t on purpose and he knew how happy I was now that I was away from them, especially after I’d conveyed all that had happened at my birthday dinner. He’d understood.
In fact, he’d more than understood. He’d whooped and shouted from the other end of the line while I relayed what happened, cheering me on like an entire cheerleading squad smooshed into one person.
I’d been sure to exclude all the supernatural details, which was a lot harder than I thought it’d be, but I managed to cover the majority of events, right up to the point that I’d officially cut myself off from my parents and disowned.
The second I’d confirmed that, Francis had quit.
With a letter of notice and less than professional ‘fuck you’, Francis had quit the only job he’d had for more than twenty years and hadn’t looked back.
I thought I’d cried myself dry these last few weeks, but when Francis had told me that the only reason he’d stayed on staff for all these years, was to watch over me… my tear ducts decided to give Niagara Falls a run for its money.
The tears flowed and they refused to stop.
I’d always known Francis cared about me, I’d just never imagined that he’d cared about me to that extent. To watch over me from the background, even when I didn’t notice that he was always keeping an eye out.
It meant more than I could ever express to him, but I tried my damn best, through all my sobbing.
So when Francis had told me that he was looking for a new job, there was really only one thing to do.
I had a savings account brimming with my sperm donor’s money – Damon’s words, not mine – that I had no use of now that I was in the pack. And I couldn’t have Francis go work for another rich, self-absorbed asshole after all he’d done for me.
The answer was obvious.
Francis tried to fight it. Saying how he couldn’t accept so much money, how he didn’t need it, how my thanks were enough. He’d really tried his best to turn it all down, but after I sent it back for the sixth time, he’d given up.
Now Francis was retired and happily so if all his fake whining was anything to go by.
“What are you doing today?” Francis asks as he shifts out of bed, his movements passing through the line.
“Not too much,” I reply as I jump out of the way of a witch who was running by with three large boxes floating behind her. “I’m just spending some time with Damon’s little sister, Josey, we’re going to hang out for a bit and do some shopping.”
That was the understatement of the fucking year. You only needed to have one conversation with Josey to know that she was a shopaholic and since summer was approaching, she apparently needed an entire new wardrobe.
She’d invited me along so we could spend some time together and I’d been a little too eager in saying yes. But I did like Josey a lot, she had a sharp tongue and as someone who didn’t mince my words often, I liked whenever she was around.
“Should be fun,” I finish with an honest smile on my lips.
“It sounds like fun,” Francis says kindly, his familiar deep voice making my steps feel lighter as I weave my way through pack lands. “You’ve known and lived with Damon’s family for months now, I think its clear to say that they like you as much as you like him.”
“If they like me that much then I’m worried,” I reply with a chuckle, “that might border on stalker levels. If I need to run away and hide, can I still crash by you?”
Francis laughs, the sound so real and unfamiliarly cheery that it surprised me, making my steps falter as my eyes widened, “there’s always a place here for you.”
My heart warms and my smile grows as I make a mental note to surprise Francis with a visit in the future.
There was only so much over the phone could do, and I wanted us to actually spend time together as friends, though in my head, Francis was more like my adoptive father who hadn’t gotten around to signing the papers yet.
“Is that Will?” I recognise that squeaky voice to be Francis’ youngest daughter, Miranda, “that’s Will, isn’t it? Hi Will!”
“Hi, Miranda!” I shout back over the phone, laughing as Francis scolds her for yelling so early in the morning which it was their time.
(A/N – Don’t ask me which states they’re in. I don’t know loool. I’m pretty sure when I rewrite these books, I’m going to put everyone on a new planet similar to Earth but not quite, so I can get away with these little details loooool)
“I’ve got to go Will. I’m supposed to make breakfast today and trust me when I say the three princesses and queen living in my house settle for nothing but perfection.”
“Sounds about right,” I reply with a chuckle as I approach the busy entrance of the one market I hadn’t ventured into next. “I’ll talk to you soon, tell everyone I say hi!”
“Will do,” Francis replies and somehow I could tell he was grinning when he said, “tell Damon I say hi as well.”
He hangs up before my gasp even fully forms, leaving me standing in shock with no one to understand why.
I hold in my shout, barely. But I knew Damon wouldn’t be able to when I told him later that Francis actually referred to him by his name and not ‘the boy’.
He’d probably think I was lying or try to play it off but I already knew how happy it would make him.
Looking around, I find a spot near the entrance and try my best to find Josey amongst all the passing figures.
We’d agreed to meet here so we could spot one another easily, but in hindsight, maybe that wasn’t the best decision when one of us was blind.
“Will!” Josey shouts. I turn in the direction of her voice and squint as I try to make out where in the blurred crowd she was. “Over here!”
I look to my left and catch Josey rushing straight towards me with blurred white lines on her face that told me she was really excited.
She stops before me and that grin becomes a little clearer, along with his wide, brown eyes and tousled hair that sort of fell everywhere. On her back was a large backpack and in her arms, three empty blue bags that I could recognise anywhere.
“You plan to buy so many clothes that you’ll need three IKEA bags?” I ask in both alarm and intrigue.
“No, of course not,” Josey says before she pats her back, “there’s two more in there just in case.”
My mouth hangs and she laughs, “I warned you.”
“I know,” I splutter, “I just…”
I knew she’d warned me that when she shopped, she went hard, I just thought she was being a teenage girl and exaggerating, I hadn’t actually believed she’d meant it so literally.
“Don’t worry Will, it’ll be fun and I’ll carry everything,” she promises, “I know your human strength can’t take much.”
I narrow my eyes at her while she laughs, clearly amused with herself, “each day I realise how much of Aiden rubbed off on you guys.”
Her laughs dies on her tongue, “take that back.”
“There’s a piece of him in all of you, it’s crazy,” I say as I start walking towards the open gates, “you better hope you don’t age as quickly because before you know, you’ll be the one they’re calling old.”
Josey gasps with something of shock and horror that breaks off into giggles as she follows after me, joining me at my side so we could walk together with a space between us. “Be careful Will, you’re starting to sound like one of us.”
“That’s not a bad thing to me.” I admit, “I like being one of the wolves.”
“Now you’re just playing dirty,” Josey says as her eyes glow and her fingers tighten around the bag straps, “But honestly, I’m so fucking happy you’re Damon’s mate. You’re literally perfect for him, and for this pack, and for the family.”
My heart warms within my chest as I mentally scream my joy because everyday that I opened my eyes and found myself latched around my mate, I was reminded of how damn lucky I was to call him my own.
“Me too,” I admit, “and thanks, I’m just grateful you guys have taken me in.”
“Yeah well, we don’t take in many of your kind so be grateful.”
And we were back to the human jabs.
“Let’s just find you some clothes, okay?” I say, rolling my eyes while she snorts, “what are you thinking? What’s the look you’re going for?”
“Option one, high waisted sweat-shorts, matching oversized zip-up hoodie, crop top on the inside,” Josey lists while she looks around with focused eyes, “alternately, those big t-shirt dresses but with a graphic design; preferably marvel or something random, I don’t know. Another option, baggy jeans and a crop top or a normal shirt to tuck in. Those are the outfits I’m going on, anything to fit that code is an immediate yes.”
“Okay, I can pretty much picture all of that,” I say while we keep to the sides to avoid the crowds, “what about colours schemes?”
“All of them,” she says quickly, “I like purples, reds, pinks, greens, orange sometimes.”
“You had me at red,” I admit and she laughs. “Okay, last question.”
“Hit me.”
“We’re getting accessories right?” I question. “Because none of that works without accessories, oh and shoes too.”
I knew not everyone liked accessorizing but they made a huge difference to an outfit. I’d always loved jewellery, especially on men though I was usually too lazy to put on my own.
Still, I admired it from afar, and I always admired it on Damon.
Jewellery on Damon… Fuck!
All those rings and chains, it was sexy as hell. Just seeing him put them on made me hard sometimes.
I shake my head and put those thoughts away for another time.
Josey stops in her place and turns to face me, her eyes seeming almost teary. She inhales deeply as she looks at me, his hands lifting before she drops them quickly.
It was a habit I realised she found really hard to break, trying not to hug me when she was happy.
“Will, you have no idea how long I’ve been waiting to shop with someone who got it… who understood the full picture. I’ve waited so long Will, so fucking long.”
I laugh at her dramatics but Josey really seemed like she might shed a tear.
When I thought about it, growing up in a household full of men must’ve been a bit hard in some places, especially for things like this where none of the Heil-Calderon Clan seemed to favour anything outside of books, action and each other.
I’d always loved clothes. I’d had the money to go wild and when the mood struck, I could be on my laptop for hours, shopping for things I didn’t need but did at the same time.
But when I thought back, I couldn’t remember a single time where I’d gone shopping with someone I’d actually liked growing up. I’d done so once in university and that had been fun, but that was it.
I’d never had this. A day out with someone I trusted wholeheartedly, who I got along with and who made me laugh.
The fact that it was the same for Josey, just made it all the better.
“Well, I’m sorry I took so long to get here but I’m here now, so lets not waste any more time,” I say with a wink and Josey releases an honest to God squeal that makes me snort as we start walking again and she shouts.
“Thank you Goddess for making Damon gay!”
——————-
Not me getting teary-eyed because Will is living his best life in his new home with his real family.
Thoughts??????????
Did we like the TheoxWill time? I LOVED IT OH MY GOD!!! THEO AND WILL TIME EQUALS MY HAPPINESS!!! THEO IS SO FUCKING CUTE PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE
And what about Will and Francis? I know a lot of people were wondering what happened to him, I didn’t forget him, I just didn’t know when I could put him in when the chapters were already long as hell.
And Josey and Will?!?!? I’ve been waiting for SO LONG for someone to come along and like Josey and spend time with her. Everyone loves Peter and Hagen, which I get, but Josey’s fucking savage and Will’s savage too and ugh, I love it.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapters as much as I loved writing it because trust me when I say this just made me so happy to write.
Vote up and copy if you enjoyed it!!
I am currently at home since my flight was cancelled. I don’t know when I’ll be flying out since the volcanic eruption in St.Vincent is covering my island with ash and soot.
If you’re in St.Vincent, I hope you’re staying inside and hopefully you’re safe! I’m just praying this whole thing ends sooner than later.
Since I’m home, I’ll be updating either Patreon or Delicate next week if I can, unless I feel for Master, IDK.
We’ll just have to see. As always, I’ll try to keep you guys posted.
Until next time,
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee Humanssssssssss
