I use to think only ghosts could haunt a person, but as it turned out, a single thought could do it too.
One thought had been haunting me endlessly for the past week.
Despite my efforts to avoid it, my eyes drift back to the bathroom, focusing on the closed cupboards under the sink.
I stare at the wood as if I had x-ray vision to see what had been hiding what was inside for the last four days.
