Everyone had their seasons. Some people loved winter, others autumn and the freakishly delighted, spring. For me, because I was sane and superior in so many ways, my season was summer.

When the sun rolled itself out of bed and stuck around for longer periods, and that sexy heat came with it— the one that basically knocked you out when it came time to sleep— I was a better, more active version of myself. I had more time, and that usually meant after I exhausted all the avenues that usually filled my time, I got bored.

When I was bored, I tended to do… not foolish things per se, more like fun things. Add to that Apollos walking around like the perfect specimen he was, and well, I could not be blamed for my actions.

“You missed a spot,” I inform from my perch.
