A few years later
not putting exactly how long, so I can’t be wrong with the timeline, but get ready for a bit of fluff, fun and… well… ๐
——————–
Hagen’s POV
“I don’t think you know what you’re doing.”
“I know what I’m doing.”
“It does not feel like you do.”
“Well, I do.” I don’t.
I don’t have a clue in the world about how you’re supposed to cut hair, but I’m trusting in my gut and hoping that today isn’t the day that the greedy fucker fails me.
Sliding another lock of Nikola’s hair through my fingers, I slip it down to the edges that curl in different directions and hold my breath before I snip a little off the edges.
I don’t know who I thought I was, telling Nikola I could and would cut his hair from now onwards, but I hadn’t been thinking in the moment. All I remembered was watching Aunty Kat sit down on the ground between her linker’s legs and holding still while Uncle Apollos lovingly trimmed her hair, and wanting it too.
No game plan, just pure, unfiltered greed.
“You are hesitating,” Nikola mumbles unhelpfully. I let the section fall onto his shoulder before hastily grabbing another. “Now you are rushing.”
“The commentary doesn’t help, Nik,” I scold, and as I glance up, I watch him slide his lips together.
He remains quiet, but his grey eyes remain glued to the reflection of my hands, refusing to part as he watches me carefully snip away at his luscious hair.
It’s just a trim, something I’ve done a million times for me and friendsโ and yeah, sure, maybe they weren’t the best cuts in the world, but they worked. I figured with hair as nice and well-maintained as Nik’s, it’d be a walk in the park.
I figured wrong because while Nik’s hair was silky smooth and gorgeous, its owner is a sharp-eyed hawk that has sweat cresting over my brow as I work under duress.
What kind of person could be expected to give a nice haircut in these conditions?!
To be honest, it was a miracle I’d even gotten Nik in the seat. Unlike my other clients, Nikola wasn’t so blasรฉ about letting people touch his hair. He trimmed it himself and had a meticulous way of doing so. The only reason I’d even gotten this far was because tonight is one of our extra-special date nights, and Nikola was always a little more susceptible to my madness around those.
When we arrived at my old place, I told him I would love to trim his hair before we got to our plans for later, so everyone could see how much I loved every part of him. After that, very stiffly, Nikola walked himself and sat down, putting himself at my mercy.
You’re doing nothing โ Zyair comments while he peers over my shoulder, watching as closely as Nik. If anything, you’re giving him split ends.
You can’t give a person split ends with a haircut โ I dismiss, while I carefully gather another section between my fingers.
On the contrary, dear grasshopper. I’m watching you do it right now โ he retorts, making my fingers shake. Nikola’s shoulders tense, and I clench my fingers, snipping a small clump I hadn’t meant to cut. Oh dear.
“Hagen,” Nikola whispers uneasily.
“It’s fine.” It’s not. I toss the section away, and it joins the others, just a little higher. “It’s… fine.” Layers were cool. I’m just giving my man some layers. “You look great!”
I glance at the mirror as Nikola’s eyes snap up to mine, and my chest pinches with guilt.
I didn’t lie. He did look great. But Nik always looked great. He could cut all this off and go with a buzzcut, or even shave the back and keep some on the top and he would still look good.
Hell, Nikola could sport a monk’s ballcap with that fringed circle thing and I’d still ride him every night.
We would take Nikola in every condition, so I don’t believe such a comparison matters โ Zyair admits while we eye the rest of Nik’s hair.
Maybe I could just snip at the air around them, cut the tiniest bit and call it a day โ I propose. Then, next time, I’ll watch a few videos and practice on Jasper before my next go around.
That’s if he ever lets you anywhere near his hair again โ Zyair mumbles on a sigh. At this rate, we might lose tugging privileges.
My heart stutters at that. Goddess forbid.
A hiss tugs on Nikola’s attention, redirecting his razor-sharp gaze onto Knots, who slithers over with Wreck positioned on his back. Wreck enjoys his ride with faithful meows, like a king telling their subject to charge on, while Knots rises to peruse Nikola’s look for himself.
His tongue slithers out, big eyes growing worrisomely wide, and that’s all it takes. Knots might as well have tossed me off a cliff.
“Perhaps, I could finish it,” Nikola begs, sitting forward as he tries to escape.
“No!” I snap as I grab his shoulders and pull him back to me. “You won’t know what to do with this.”
Nikola makes an alarmed sound that I ignore for now as I eye the remaining pieces.
“We’re almost done,” I promise, and we are.
Everything right now is falling in the right placeโ the right place being a straight lineโ and if I make like two more real snips, one of which is tilting slightly higher on the right so the layers match, then he’d look fineโ great even!
“I’m not sure that I want you to finish, Hagen,” Nikola replies honestly.
“I have to,” I whine as I find his gaze in the mirror again. “I want to do this for you.”
Nikola stares at me for a long moment, his grey eyes carrying all sorts of emotions, before he finally sighs. His shoulders drop as the tension slinks from his body, and he sits back, resigning himself to his fate under my scissors.
“Thank you!” I beam as I bend to kiss his cheek. I add two more to soften him up some more. “Thank you! Thank you!”
Nikola only hums, but in my veins and through our bond, I feel exactly how each kiss fills him with joy and peace. I press one more to the corner of his lips, and Nikola melts completely, being my pliant model.
I snip away, both real and fake, levelling his hair at his shoulders again and again to make sure it’s straight ’cause that’s the most important part to me. If it’s straight, then Nikola wouldn’t freak and at least there’d be proof that I have some kind of skill at this.
Sure, that’s what that would mean โ Zyair mumbles, but I ignore him as I continue on.
By the time I finish, hair circles the chair beneath us, but there’s not too much. What little there is, Wreck plays with, and while I should be trying to stop him so he’s not hacking it up later, I’m more concerned with facing the music right now.
Nikola stands up slowly and quietly walks himself to the mirror over our dresser.
I hold my breath with my scissors clutched to my chest.
It’s shorter than I meant to take itโ shorter than I’ve ever seen Nikola had it before, but it’s not terrible. It sits just above his shoulders instead of cascading over it, but the curls are still there, it brackets his face just right and best of allโ it’s straight!
Unlike uโ I cut Zyair off before he could finish because, while what he was about to say is the truth, now is not the time.
Nikola tilts his head, examining himself from left to right while I stare at his face.
His expression is as plain as it would be if he’s staring at the sky, giving nothing away, but then he slides a hand through his hair, the edge of his right brow twitches, and my heart plummets.
“You hate it,” I groan as my hands find my own hair to tug on since that’s what I’m apparently going to be doing for the foreseeable future.
“I never said that,” he replies, but his eyes are still on the mirror and his hands are still moving through his hair.
“You didn’t have to,” I whine as I dump myself in the chair he’d filled only a second ago. I stare up at him and the botched job I’m trying to sell as a class act. “I can tell.”
“It does not look bad,” Nikola states, expression still stark, but he might as well be screaming bloody murder with the way he keeps touching his hair.
“But you hate it.” I sink lower into the chair, hoping it might swallow me whole and take me to hell so that I can pay for my sins. But then Knots slides himself into my lap, and I take it back. He doesn’t deserve that.
“I hate all new things,” Nikola defends as he turns himself around. He barely lets his gaze fall onto me before he’s facing the mirror again, fingers back in his hair.
“You’re losing your mind.”
“Not quite that,” he corrects. “I’m not fond of change. You know this.”
“I do,” I admit pitifully. “I’m sorry.”
Nikola makes another sound, this one soft, like he’s already registered the change and only needs to accept it now. My heart clamps down on itself for having stirred up the change in the first place.
Why didn’t I practice first?
Why didn’t I do research first? I did that literally every day for my job, I could’ve done it again for this! This was way more important than Council work!!
Why did I think I should cut his hair when I was the one who made sure everything in the house was exactly how Nik liked it?
“Because you love me,” Nikola replies softly, eyes still on the mirror.
“I was being greedy,” I correct as Knots slithers from me and up the dresser to get a closer look at what was causing Nik such trouble. He hisses again, louder this time. Clearly, he doesn’t like change either.
“Because you love me,” Nikola reiterates, and this time, his lips twinge upwards with the barest hint of a smile.
My heart leaps, swelling now as I stare at that smile. I don’t deserve it, but that doesn’t stop me from being obsessed with it, like I’m obsessed with every minute thing Nikola shares with me.
“You have magic,” I remind him as I watch him toy with the shorter ends. “You can fix it.”
“I don’t want to,” Nikola replies as he turns away from his reflection and this time, he doesn’t look back. “You did this for me. I can not just erase it.”
My heart, the foolish thing, makes another leap and I can barely keep myself from squirming as I watch Nikola step into my space. Resting his hands on the chair’s armrests, he slowly lowers himself until he’s hovering over me, forcing his warmth and strength over me as I look up at him.
“It is different, so I do not like it immediately,” he whispers while his eyes flick between mine, “but you did it, so I do not resent it.” His gaze flicks to my lips as his lips curl up. “I also enjoy the concern you’ve attached to this task.”
My brows dip in as I watch that evil smile grow. “I’m here, actually feeling bad, and you’re too sadistic to care.”
“I am not sadistic,” Nikola retorts as he leans closer. “But it’s you. I can’t help but overindulge when it comes to you.”
Despite myself, my lips spread into a large smile as butterflies take flight inside of me. They’re already fluttering madly, but when Nik presses his lips against mine, they swarm.
I slide my hands over his as I sit up in the chair, holding on tight while Nikola kisses me softly. His lips are soft and perfect, and I lose myself in every breathless kiss.
Tilting my head to the side, I offer everything to him, and Nikola takes it with an appreciative groan, sliding his tongue into my mouth so that he can claim every inch of it.
My legs press together, clamped tightly, while I try not to shake so early on, but I love his kisses like I love everything he does to me, so I can’t help it.
We part too soon, but Nikola leans back, out of my reach, so that all I can have are the fleeting pecks he tortures me with.
“Thank you, Hagen,” Nikola whispers against my lips. “For my botched haircutโ” Laughter bursts from me and onto his lips. “โandโ” Nikola chuckles as he kisses me softly, “and at the very least, making sure it’s levelled.”
I slide my hands up his arms and loop them around his neck. “You are very welcome.”
Still grinning, Nikola kisses me again before he straightens and pulls me up with him. He slides an arm around my waist to keep me pressed against him.
“I have a surprise for you,” he says against my lips.
I stiffen before I lean back to look at him. His grey eyes are warm and sparkling in that way they do when he’s successfully gotten one up on me.
“It’s brief,” he states, “and it will be arriving shortly.”
“Nik,” I chide while I try to forage in his mind through our link, but he locks it up tight. “What did you do?”
Nikola only smiles.
I loved surprisedโ loved Nikola’s surprises even more, but with how close and tightly-bonded we were, it was hard for us to pull them off right on each other. Sometimes, I barely thought up a concept before Nikola felt it and knew it was coming, and vice versa.
The fact that he’d managed to get one up on me was as exciting as it was aggravating.
“I’ll clean up here,” he says as he glances at the floor, only for his gaze to hastily rise again. “You get the door.”
“The door?” I ask just as a fist pounds against it.
I feel my eyes widen while Wreck races over to investigate what I already know.
“You didn’t,” I breathe. Nikola’s smile widens.
“Go on.”
Biting into my lip, I reluctantly unwind from Nikola with trained effort before I run for the door.
I used to think that after enough time, we’d stop being so… codependent and obsessive about one another, but if anything, those parts of us had worsened over the years.
Nik and I always had some part of us touching the other. He was still my favourite person to spend time with, day in and day out, and more often than not, we didn’t need the link, bond or even words to know exactly what the other was thinking.
I don’t think I could love Nikola anymoreโ physically, I don’t think I can manage it, but that doesn’t stop me from trying.
Wrecks scratching at the front door, but backs up to press against my legs while undo the lock and open to see three faces I haven’t seen in far too long.
“Wah mek yuh looking at wi like a fish?” Ruben asks as his lips spread into a massive grin. “Close yuh mout.”
“It’s shock,” Max retorts. “He’s just missed us so much.”
Jasper opens his mouth, but before he can say whatever’s on his mind, I dive into the three of them with my arms spread wide. They groan and then laugh as arms come around me to hug me too.
“I thought we were catching up tomorrow,” I groan as I step back, my eyes still wide as I look between them. “What are you doing here?”
“Nik called,” Jasper informs, “said you’d like if we passed by after work.”
“So wi here fi a quick one,” Ruben says. “Yaah guh let wi in, or wuh?”
“Oh shit, yeah,” I chuckle, stepping back so they can all shuffle into the old apartment we’d hung out in more times than I could count.
Nikola’s waiting at the living room, his expression relaxed but his eyes are alight with hopefulness as they flit around my face. “Did you like your surprise?” He asks, watching my approach.
“Fucking love it,” I mumble before I drag him to me for a kiss. “I’ll thank you properly later.”
Nikola groans quietly as I step back so he can greet the others properly. I barely step out of the way before Ruben hauls him in for a hug. Nik falls into it, holding his breath, but not pulling away.
“Nikola,” he greets, toning the volume down as he steps back. “Gud tuh si yuh!”
“And you,” Nik retorts before he steps back into the space beside me. “Thank you for coming.”
Ruben nods, grinning as he marches in and dumps himself in his spot in the living room.
“New haircut?” Max asks as he follows suit, narrowed eyes already glued to Nik’s hair. “Who tried to give you layers?”
“Tried?” I retort as I raise a brow. “I did them. I didn’t try to do anything.”
“You subjected Nik to one of your haircuts?” Jasper asks from the door. He’s still taking his shoes off, but that doesn’t stop him from shaking his head as he peers at me. “Hagen, we only let you do those when times were desperate and Ruben wasn’t around.”
“This is why I don’t have you guys around,” I grumble as I leave Nik to fall into the space beside Ruben. “You are all so annoying.”
“Don’t blame us for your crimes against Nik,” he retorts, and I flip him off.
“Crimes against Nik,” Nikola muses and when I look at him, there’s a pensive, but appreciative look on his face. “I believe I like the sound of that.”
Rolling my eyes, I ignore the laughter that follows and sink into the space beside Ruben. I barely sit down before he’s squeezing the daylight out of me again, slamming a hand against my back before he leans back with a toothy grin.
“How yuh doing?” He asks, always the first thing.
“How are you doing?” I retort, throwing it back at him.
He glares at me before he sinks back and shrugs. “Life di same. Work. Work. Work,” he shrugs again. “Nuh complains though. Yuh?”
“Same,” I reply with a grin. “Work. Work. Work. But work and Nik.”
I glance up at my mate, grin, and Nikola promptly turns away to direct Jasper to the seat chosen for him. I can’t help but laugh.
No matter how much time passed or how openly in love I was with Nikola, when I claimed him openly around this particular group, he got all shy. It was fucking adorable.
“How long are you guys here this time?” Max asks as he sits in his designated seat across from us.
“A week,” I answer.
“For Hagen to spend time with friends,” Nikola adds as he eyes everyone else, making sure they are as they should be before he walks off into the kitchen, but not without adding. “He has missed you all a lot.”
“Awwwww,” Jasper coos as he bats his long lashes at me. “You hear that guys? Hagen cries at night for us.”
“At what point did you hear that come out of his mouth?” I deadpan with a glare I can barely hold.
“Somewhere around when you started crying just now,” Max retorts with a way too proud glare.
I roll my eyes, ignoring them, but it’s the truth. I did miss them all, a lot.
It was hard, going from living in the same city and hanging out all the time, to moving back home and having to switch over to calls and texts. Worse yet, when we were all working now.
It wasn’t like university, where we had free time and nothing but assignments to worry about. They had bills to pay, and I had missions to run, so actually linking up most of the time felt impossible.
I visited, though, as much as I could, and when Nik and I had some time, more often than not, we came back to this apartment in the city or our secret escape. This time, we came here because wellโ tonight is extra-special date night, plus, I did truly want to spend some time with my friends.
Nikola emerges from the kitchen with three beer bottles in hand, each a different brand. It only takes one glance before they’re all moaning in appreciation.
“Man, this is why I love you, Nik,” Jasper groans as he takes his bottle, one that’s laced with blood I can smell from here. “This is exactly why.”
“Di best ting Hagen eva duh,” Ruben agrees, before taking a swig of him. “Neva lef him. Wi can’t live widout yuh.”
Nikola chuckles under his breath before he finally sinks down into the chair beside me. He stretches a hand out, resting it on the armrest, and I’m quick to slide mine into it as conversation soon builds on its own.
Jasper’s seeing this new girl, Julia, who he wants Nik and me to meet firstโ much to Ruben and Max’s offence. Max is dealing with this asshole at work that he’s also fucking, which just makes it all so much worse. And Ruben… well, I’m not too sure cause Ruben gets a little quiet after Max gives his update.
But for the most part, they’re surviving, living life like me and the finer details they’re saving for tomorrow morning’s catch-up at Jasper’s place.
They manage two rounds before they’re all looking at the time and planning their journeys home because, like Nik said, this really was a brief stop in, a little surprise to make everyone happy.
“You better not hide away tomorrow, Nik,” Max says at the door, petting Wreck while the others lace back up their shoes. “You’re supposed to come too.”
“And I will,” he vows at my side.
“He’ll endure it,” I tease, but Nikola frowns at my side as he looks at me.
“It is not something to endure,” Nikola corrects as he looks anxiously between them and me. “I enjoy time with your friends.”
“AWWW!” Jasper coos, and at this point, I can throw a brick at him.
“I know, babe,” I promise, giving his hand a squeeze. “I was teasing them.”
Nikola relaxes, looking back at the others, before he frowns again, realising he’d missed sarcasm from meโ a rare thing.
But what he’d said was a truth Nikola means and one I adore.
I never expected Nikola to become friends with my friends, but enough time spent together, and he’d been added into the fold the same way I had with Jacob and Willow when they were around.
Sometimes, we were all togetherโ his friends and mineโ and we got along like it’d always been one big group. Nikola loved those times the most because he barely had to speak. I loved them because knocking two birds with one stone meant more time for just us after.
“We’ll see yuh tomorrow,” Ruben says, letting Jasper shuffle by with a wave while he holds the door open for Max. “Don be late.”
“We won’t,” Nikola vows.
“Enjoy date night,” Max sings before he’s out with a wink.
Chuckling, Ruben closes the door behind the three of them, and then it’s just us again. I jump onto Nikola, almost sending him tumbling with how quickly I get him by surprise.
“Why did you do that?” I ask as I wrap my legs around his waist and my arms around his neck.
Nikola looks up at me, frowning slightly as he tilts his head. “Because I knew you would enjoy it and it would be brief enough not to disturb our plans.”
“And because you love me,” I whisper, heart pounding against him as he holds me up.
Nikola’s features soften, unfurling all at once as he nods his head. “Yes, because I love you, Hagen.”
I grin and giggle like a kid as I hug him to me, squeezing him more than I should, but I can’t help it. I feel like I’m going to burst from this small gesture, that’s not small at all.
“Goddess, I love you so much,” I mumble against his neck. I kiss his mark, and Nikola groans against me. “I love you more than anything.”
“I love you too, Hagen, but please stop,” Nik begs as he lowers himself, sitting down with me in his lap. “I won’t be able to see the night’s plans through in this state.”
I sit back and feel his cock against my ass, already hard and it’s enough to have my blood rushing south as my next breath catches.
“Maybe we can start earlier than planned,” I propose, and he chuckles. “I’m being dead serious.”
“I know you are,” he whispers while he slides a palm over my cheek. “But half the fun I’m told is waiting.” His eyes darken as he watches me lean into his palm. “You’ll wait for me. Won’t you, pup?”
Good Goddess, spare me.
Shuddering, I nod against him before adding, “Yes.”
I leave the sir out, and Nikola’s eyes flare purple. His jaw ticks, and I can’t help but grin. I’d never get tired of teasing him.
“You’ll pay for that later, pup,” he mumbles as his hands slide over my hips and pushes me down onto his cock.
“Promise?” I groan as I rub against him, my hole already clenching for him.
“Oh, I promise,” Nikola replies wickedly, and goosebumps spread over my skin in an instant.
Tonight can’t come fast enough.
โ—————————————
Are you ready? โ Nikola asks, through the link.
Yup! โ I reply while I look at the clothes waiting for me.
What do you say if you want it to stop?
It’s not really a scene โ I retort, but maybe it kind of is? Does this type of shit count as roleplay? Or are we just being freaky?
What do you say if you want it to stop? โ Nik repeats unflinchingly.
Strawberries โ I reply and I feel a pleasured hum slide through our bond.
Good. Now… let’s have some fun, pup.
With that, Nikola slinks away from our link, taking his presence in my body with it and leaving me, awfully and unusually bare. Zyair whines at the loss, and fear soon trickles in as I remember the last time he’d detached himself so fully from me, but it’s not that.
This is just an act. It’ll make it better at the end, plus, he’s still watching me. Nikola’s always watching me.
I remind myself of that as I avoid the dressing mirror and take a deep breath that calms the anxiety, leaving me annoyingly hard instead.
Time to play.
Stepping closer to the bed, I stare down at the clothes in front of me, more specifically at the outfit laid out for me.
I’m supposed to put that on and head outside, but complying so early? I have to bite my lip not to laugh.
Ignoring the outfit, I dig my duffle out of the closet, unzip it and dump it all over the bed. Detached or not, I feel the ripple of unease that skates through the air as Nik watches while I drive us straight off course.
I rifle through my clothes until I find a shirt I like. I toss it on with some jeans, and sure, it looks good, but I take them off a second later. I do the same thing, again and again, and then one more time, just to toss my mate’s brain into the blender.
Nikola’s magic taints the air now, soured already and barely restrained as he fights against himself not to intervene. After all, he’s not even supposed to be watching, but this version of him is.
I’m at option number seven when I decide to take us up a step. I mean, we’re already playing with fire with this whole thing, so why not spice things up?
You’re suicidal โ Zyair declares as he picks up on the halfway formed idea, but he’s also cackling. But an angry Nik gets so much deeper.
That he does…
Hands on my hips, I stare down at the clothes before I mumble, “For fuck sake Hagen, pick one.” Zyair snickers like a madman, and I can barely stop myself from doing the same as I add, “Calm down, Hagen. You like her and she likes you, it’s all good.”
Cue Nik losing his shit in three, twoโ
The mirror cracks. A slight, almost imperceptible sound that I’d miss if I wasn’t listening out for every sign of him. When I glance at it, I see the crack in the corner and stare straight into it, looking past my reflection.
I hope he sees how much I’m enjoying this, and how this is only the beginning.
Grinning to myself, I pluck my wallet and keys from the counter on the way out, giving Wreck a boatload of hugs and kisses before I continue along with the plan.
The plan, or this messy foreplay slash roleplay, is that I’m supposed to go to a restaurant, where I’ll wait for my date. Only she doesn’t show, and Nikola does instead. What happens after that is up to us.
It’s our version of therapy. A fucked up version we started about two months back when Nik and I started talking about the people I’d dated in the past.
Of course, he knew I dated, hated it and tried to stop it when he was younger, and then tried to ignore it when he was older, but it didn’t change the fact that it happened.
I hated to think about it now, knowing how miserable he was during it, but againโ it happened.
As good as we are now, it’s something we can talk about, just like we talk about all the things we could’ve done differently. I’m not sure how the conversation got to the point of me admitting I loved his more ‘psycho’ tendencies now, and how I wouldn’t mind replacing the worst memories while he was stalking me with new ones, but we had and well… Nik and I were fucked up.
We long since accepted that, so really, this whole thing isn’t that crazy for us.
A gust of wind rushes to greet me the moment I step out of my apartment building, making me shudder before I bundle myself tighter in Nik’s coat. Sure I wasn’t supposed to grab it, but it was hanging right there, and he’d love it even more if I was drenched in his scent by the time he was fucking into me.
My cock bucks beneath the fabric and I struggle to walk to the curb as I put my hand out for a taxi.
The first one zips by, making me frown. I wave to the other, but it continues on.
Had I been gone that long? I knew they were bad before, but fuck me, this was a prime pick up spot back in the day.
“I can’t be late,” I grumble as I jump and down for attention. “Stop your damn cars!”
Nikola would freak if we missed our reservation. Then, me going off schedule wouldn’t be so cute.
I wave my arms all around, but the cabs keep passing me by like I’m invisible. Cursing under my breath, I pull out my phone. I’m pretty sure I’ve got the app still in there, but when I tap the screen, it remains faithfully black.
I tap it again, but nothing.
…What the actually fuck.
One more timeโ because I made sure to keep it charging without Nik having to remind me for onceโ but still, nothing.
“I just charged you! Are you insane?! Wake up!” I shout, hitting it now. “Wake the fuck up!”
It doesn’t. My phone is dead and taxis are passing me by like they can’t even see me and none of this makes any fucking sense whenโ
I still.
No fucking way.
I glance around, and it takes barely a look for me to know he’s here, doing this. I can’t see him, but I know Nikola is here, fucking with me. Payback for my stunt earlier? A quiet lesson for me to learn?
I swallow a chuckle while precum leaks from my tip.
Alright. If we’re playing games, then let’s play some fucking games.
Turning on my heels, I start marching down the road. I’ll do it on foot.
Nikola, of course, doesn’t go down without a fight. Street signs spin around and switch places like they’re playing hopscotch, and red lights go on forever when it comes time to close. My scarf, which has never once in my entire life fallen off my neck, gets yanked away about ten times.
I chase after each time, like Nik knows I will, because its the one he made for me when we visited Levi and Jayson in summer, and Jayson taught him how to knit.
But that’s where my compassion ends. I forget all about the restaurant, because I don’t even know where I am anymore thanks to Nikola. I see an ice cream shop on the next corner and march towards there with my only gameplan behind that I’m going to drive Nikola out of his skin until he can’t watch from the shadows anymore.
As I yank the door open and a bell dings overhead, I hear a street light shatter behind me. I grin as I step inside.
There’s not many people aboutโ a girl in the corner reading, a couple near the window, the man behind the teller andโ I frown. Can’t be. It really can’t cause what are the chances, and I can’t be this lucky, but is thatโ
“Hagen?” Zena calls as she bawks at me.
“Zena?” I retort, striding over with an open mouth. “What are you doing here?”
“Is that even a question?” She asks gesturing to the massive cup of ice cream sitting right in front of her. “This is my spot.”
And it really is, that’s how we became friends. More often than not, I’d stumbled in here to get some ice cream way too late at night and Zena was doing the same in her pjs. I only ever saw her here, only spoke to her here, but we were friends kind ofโ in this little place.
“Wanna join?” She asks as she takes another spoonful.
“I can’t. I’mโ” I stop myself mid sentence.
I’m playing a weird game of cops and robbers with my boyfriend and he’s probably having an aneurysm wherever he is, and this might be a step too far. But also…
She’s a friend. Has only ever been a friend โ I say through the link.
I wait for the safeword, or for Nikola to show up and put a stop to this himself, but other than a slither of boiling acceptance, nothing happens.
He’s going to kill me later.
“I actually can,” I correct with a grin that almost tears my lips apart. “What flavour did you get?”
“Vanilla,” she replies with a grin.
“Oh I like Vanilla too,” I reply quickly. I don’t. Cookies and Cream is my favourite, and I didn’t eat Vanilla unless there’s nothing else to get. Nikola knows that, which is exactly why I say it.
All the time I’d spent pissing him off for fun, I learned that the best way to do it was with little inaccuracies, especially where I was concerned. Nikola knew me better than myself, so to do or say anything that challenged that was a surefire way to get myself bent over his lap.
“No way,” Zena replies doutbfully, drawing me back to the present. “You always got Cookies and Cream.”
Shit. Well. Pivot!
“I like Vanilla too,” I shrug. “We can share?”
We can’t because Aโ I don’t share food with anyone but Nik, and Bโ Zena is too greedy to ever allow such a thing. I just say it to add some gasoline to the flames I could feel roaring in our bond, but Nik doesn’t give it a chance.
Zena’s ice cream slips from her spoon on her next bite, landing in her lap and making her squeal as she tries to wipe it off. “See what you did, Hagen?” She chides playfully between groans. “I was eating in peace before you showed up.”
And she really was. I was the asshole taking advantage of the situation for better sex… how the great fell.
Or rise โ Zyair counters.
“You okay?” I ask as she cleans the rest of it up.
“Yeah, yeah,” she says with a grin. “I’ve done that like a million times.”
“I’ve seen it happen,” I admit and she chuckles. “I’ll get mine and another for you too?”
“Sold!” Zena replies, making my laugh as I leave her be.
As I walk to the counter, the woman reading gasps like she’s just woken up, making me frown as I give her a wide birth. The man behind the counter is older and watches me carefully as I approach.
“Can I have two cones of Vanilla?” I ask while I dig in my back pocket for my wallet.
“Not Cookies and Creme?” He retorts tightly.
My brows dip, eyes narrowing as I study the man until purple glows within those eyes. I jump back with a yelp, barely managing to cut it off as all eyes land on me. I smile weakly before I inch back to the counter and glare at my mate.
“Nikola, what the hell?” I whisper-shout with a scolding finger. “What are you doing in there?! How are you even in there?!?”
I didn’t even know Nik could do that, slide into someone else’s skin. How long had he had that trick? How often did he do it? Did he do it when I was on missions without him?
And if yes, why the hell does that make me so fucking hard?
“What are you doing here?” He retorts while he dutifully scoop out the ice cream as if he actually works here. “You were supposed to go to the restaurant.”
“I couldn’t find it because someone kept fucking with me,” I retort in a hiss, while my blood pounds in my ears.
“That might be because someone didn’t wear what they were supposed to,” Nikola hisses back. His eyes flick up to mine, “And now you’re spending time with someone else. With a girl.”
I pause. Eyeing him closely.
Was this too much? I mean it was our date night, but these ones were special for a reasonโ they were fucked up.
“She was only ever a friend, and in case you forgot,” I whisper as I lean a little closer, “I suck your cock every day and only cum when its inside me. It doesn’t matter that she’s a girl.”
Nikola’s eyes burn, flaring with the need I feel surging inside of me. I have to hold onto the counter just to remain standing, but its hard to pretend I’m not losing it as I hold his gaze.
“This is enough for me,” he rasps as he holds out the first cone of ice cream. “End this and go home.”
“So early?” I reply as I take the cone with shaky fingers. “You’re just going to punish me when I get in. I might as well make it worth it.”
“Hagen,” he warns and I drown it out with a soft moan.
“Stop before I cum,” I mumble as my heavy eyes remain on his. “I’m on edge enough as it is.”
The jaw clenches and even though it’s not Nik’s, he’s hear in spirit and my body responds to it all the same.
“Go home, Hagen,” Nikola grins out as the lights flicker above.
Before I can reply, the man in front of me gasps dramatically, like the girl before, and when he looks at me, there’s no sign of Nikola left.
I lean back, disappointed as he eyes the ice cream cone in my hand and the one in his.
“Two Vanillas?” He asks warily, getting back to work with the shake of his head. “That’s five dollars.”
I pay in a near daze, taking the ice cream before I head back over to Zena. I glance at the reader this time, and find purple eyes settled on me. I almost trip over my feet, but keep walking until I’m back in the booth.
I sit down, only because I have to so that no one sees my crazy boner.
I had the cone over to Zena who barely mumbles a thanks before she digs in. What I left her with is long gone and she’s feasting on the free treat happily.
“I um, gotta go home,” I tell her as I shift in my seat. “Sorry, my boyfriend just got to my place.”
“Oh, yeah no worries,” she replies with a grin. “It was nice seeing you and getting the free ice cream.”
I snort but nod, “Same here.”
Up and out like the seat is on fire, I glance at the reader, but her gaze is fixed on her book this time around, her eyes a normal brown. Outside, I look around for Nikola, but there’s no sign of him or his magic anywhere.
Setting back on foot, I walk home and take my first lick from my ice cream, only to freeze when I taste Cookies and Cream. I’d gotten Vanilla and yet…
I quicken my steps, walking faster to get back home.
I shove the napkin into my back pocket as I chew on the last bits of the cone, dusting off my fingers as I rush up the steps of my building. I can already feel Nikola’s magic gathering, even if it remains ominously distant, and my fingers shake as I fish open my keys.
Somehow, I get upstairs and to my door, pry it open and step inside.
It’s dark and quiet, empty except for Wreck who I can hear purring from the couch. My heart drops with disappointment as I close the door, turning to lock it. I barely slide the latch in before a hand is turning my shoulder and shoving it into the door as the rest of me is slammed into the door.
Nikola’s here, my Nikola in the flesh, with burning purple eyes, a tightly clenched jaw and he smells like sin and rage.
My heart takes off like a bullet, racing hard and fast as nerves, lust and need mounts inside me.
I try to move, but there’s nowhere to go, not with all of Nikola pressed into me. He’s caging me here while his magic seeps back beneath my bones, and fuck me, I really might cum.
“Hagen,” he growls lowly as his eyes search mine. They’re brighter than I’ve seen them in a minute, and so damn gorgeous. “You were a tyrant tonight.”
“You’ll have to punish me for it,” I whisper as I drop my gaze to his lips. I lean in, finding his lips for a scorching kiss that has us both digging nails into one another until I break free. “I prepped before.” I whisper as I lick over his lips. “You could just push in.”
Nikola’s growl overshadows mine as he presses his cock against my thigh, making my eyes roll as he grinds against me. I wrestle my hands between us, fighting tooth and nail to get his belt open, his zipper down so that I can reach his cock andโ
“Gods,” Nik groans as I stroke him in a tight grasp. “Hagen.”
His head falls against my shoulder, and I’m quick to kiss his skin, biting and licking his neck until he’s thrusting into my hands the way he should be thrusting into me.
“Nik, get inside me, or I swear to Goddess I’ll get the plug,” I snarl with a bite to his neck that has magic flaring inside my veins.
Nikola’s groan is buried in my shoulder as his hands work furiously to work my pants open. I hear buckles clinking, feel the fabric around my waist loosen and then the they’re shoved down with my underwear.
Nik tears them the rest of the way while I kiss him desperately, heart pounding as he slides his hands under my thighs and forces me up the wall. His magic does the rest, dragging my hands up and locking them above my head. It does the same to my legs, bending them and caging them at my sides so that Nik had enough room to step right between them.
His hips rub against my thighs and I whine as shivers rack through me, every inch of my body coming alive as my hole clenches needily, as if I can suck his cock in like that.
“So much trouble,” he hisses while his fingers rub against my hole.
“Nik!” I whine, toes curling as he circles, teasing me rim, but never dipping in.
A groan rumbles from Nikola’s chest as he leaves me pinned to the door to grab lube from the drawer at the entrance table. He’s back a second later, coating his cock in it and add some more to my hole before he rubs his tip against my entrance.
Grey eyes flick up to mine, steeled with anger and so much love it brings tears to my eyes.
“What do you say?” He rasps.
It comes easily.
“Please,” I whisper and Nikola pushes in.
My head falls back, eyes growing wide as he thrusts into me, sliding every inch inside of me without pause or break. He stretches me with his cock, burrowing deeper and deeper until he’s buried inside of me and I’m fucking cumming.
Cum spills from my cock, like it always does when he’s inside of me and Nik groans appreciatively before he starts fucking me.
His hips slam against mine, pounding me into the door as he takes what he wantsโ what is his.
I give it freely, moaning as he drives his cock deep, slamming it against and over my prostate and at this angle… Goddess, like this it’s like the orgasm never ends.
“Nikola!” I whine as the pleasure mounts, cresting and never ending, tugging me down in with it as he takes me apart. “Ah! G-Goddess! Yes!”
“Pup,” he calls, drawing my heavy eyes to his. I catch a glimpse of canines as his lips spread into a wicked smile. “Squeeze,” he instructs and of course, I do. I clench around him, over and over, even as it makes me cry with his cock pumelling into me. “Push back,” comes next and I do that too. “Then, cum.”
“F-F-Fuck you,” I stutter out a second before another orgasm claims me.
It swells and crashes down on me, making my eyes cross as Nikola fucks me through it, spurring it on while I shake in his arms. If I was on my feet, I’d be on the ground be now, but his magic keeps me pinned to the door with my legs spread wide open.
“You tighten around me when you cum,” Nikola groans as he slides his hands over my hips and under my ass, digging his fingers in so he can tug me to him to meet every thrust. “And even more when I cum inside you.”
“Ah! Ugh! Nik!!!” I scream, cause I’m still cumming and he won’t stop. Goddess, I hope he never stops.
“I won’t,” he whispers against my neck and he licks a path up the centre. “I won’t stop until it’s time to leave in the morning,” he vows darkly. “I have too much to do with you.”
I want to ask what. To know so I can prepare, but my brain is a foggy mess and that cockโ that perfect, relentless cock won’t let me think beyond every faithful thrust it delivers to my prostate.
“Fuckkk!” I groan as he slams his hips in, keeping them there with his cock lodged inside. He pulls back, heaving as wild grey eyes find mine. Slams in again and the world floods with colour.
“A lesson is in order, pup,” he mumbles against my lips. “Are you ready for it?”
“N-No, Sir,” I reply honestly and he chuckles, the sound going straight to my heart and my cock.
“That’s alright,” he whispers as those hands force me up, circling my hips to grind that cock into me. “I will get you through it.”
I feel my lips spread into a drowsy smile as I tilt my lips up. Nikola quickly brings his to mine, kissing me gently so he can taste me and the words I offer next.
“Then what are you waiting for.”
Another chuckle, and then… my lesson.
I fucking love my lessons.

Excuse me while I try to get myself together
Thoughts????????
Thoughts on this very wild ride of domestic bliss??? loool
So I knew from like the middle of the book, that the last thing I would write for these two in this book, would be a twist on the extra that started it all.
For those that don’t know, like 5/6 years ago maybe, I wrote this little extra (before Wattpad took my Notebook down and before Patreon when I wrote side stuff for fun on here) called ‘Hagen goes on a date’.
We got our first look and tease at these two’s dynamic and a lot of us were holding onto that until their time finally came.
The book as a whole didn’t go according to the original plan, but I felt like I owed it some kind of nod as we wish they two a fairwell.
Hopefully it was fun for you guys, especially with how settled and strong Hagen and Nik are in their relationship here.
I wanted some fun, some fluff and some smut. If you want to read the original date extra, it’s in my notebook on my website – tippysuniverse.com
But for now, that’s all for these two!!!!!!
I start my next book this month, so I hope ya’ll are excited!!! IT’S COMING SOON!!!!!!!!
Until next time,
Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee Humanssssssssssssss
