Aiden’s POV

“Kat?” Apollos voice breaches the haze while I try to open my eyes, and he’s strangely closer than before. A bit too close. “Kat? Are you alright?”

Well, if I wasn’t fucked before, I sure as shit was now.

Apollos was an easygoing guy until Kat and Nikola were fucked with, and I’d inadvertently done just that.

Maybe I could make a quick escape while they were distracted and send a food basket as an apology.

“Come on, Princess. Look at me.”

A rough hand caresses my face, and I cringe away from it.

Julian’s was much softer than that, and also, who the fuck was touching me? Last I checked, there were only three of us in the room— not counting the zombie hands that had tried to drag me to Hell.

Holy shit, was one of them trying to catch a feel?

I force my eyes open, mustering what little energy is left in me to, and this time, it’s not just light.

Grey eyes wait above my own.

“Ahh man! What the fuck?!” I shove Apollos off and end up on my ass in the process, but better the pain in my tailbone than whatever the fuck that was. “Dude, what the fuck?”

He blinks at me, hurt spilling into his concerned eyes. He opens his mouth, but it just hangs there like he’s lost.

I frown. I knew we were friends, but we weren’t that close.

The only person who touched me like that was the man who bent me over twice a week. Besides, he should be focused on his mate. Speaking of which, what the fuck happened to Kat?”

Hair falls in my face, and I push it out of my face with a groan as I look around the room, but it’s all wrong. I’d been facing the others and the grimoires they’d already cleaned, and now I was facing the doorway and—

I freeze.

There’s a body on the other side of the table. One knelt on the ground and currently trying its best to drag itself upright, only they shouldn’t be doing that or anything because it’s my fucking body.

Fuck.

“Fuck,” I breathe aloud.

I died. I was dragged down to Hell by those weird fucking zombie hands, and now, I was watching myself from some limbo space instead of the Plains.

The ground begins to shake beneath me, but I have too much to worry about now to try saving myself from Armageddon, the sequel.

“Kat? What’s going on?” Apollos whispers, and for some fucking reason, he’s still gazing at me like a kicked puppy.

“Fuck me.” I forget Apollos and look back at the demon who’d slipped into my body. “I feel like I just took a line of cocaine.” My own voice groans as my body pushes itself up, only to jump up like a dolly being tugged up by strings. “Jesussss! Are there fucking jets in this bitch?”

My hands shake as I lift them.

One rises to cover my mouth to keep me quiet so that the demon doesn’t notice me, and the other to my chest. The latter lands just above a lump way too big to be right.

I’m having a blast in ways I didn’t expect, like the way Kat can’t even control Aiden’s body cause of how strong it is, and how Aiden thinks it’s Hagen and Nik again causing an earthquake, when its him 🤣
