Colson’s POV

Zhoron’s eyes slit, and a laugh bubbles out of me before I even know it is coming.

“We came to the beach to have fun,” I remind him before his suspicion can sprout any real roots. “I was told you find surfing fun, but if you don’t and you do it solely to abuse the ocean—”

Jacob huffs a laugh he quickly hides behind the back of his hand.

“Then,” I continue as I welcome my own smile, “…simply say so.”

Black, molten eyes hold me in their gaze, and do not relent as suspicion is swept away and quietly replaced by reluctant amusement.

There he is — Refa purrs as the Zhoron we know surfaces and finds his footing.

Frustration webs with his amusement, clear to see and almost as tantalising as the desire I watch encompass him whole. It sets my skin afire, my soul ablaze, and as he clenches his jaw, I contemplate whether or not I’d get away with another kiss.

“When you come in for your attempt…” Zhoron begins as he rises, lifting himself onto one foot and then smoothly onto the other, “…do not cling to me when you grow afraid…” Long fingers curl under his shirt, teasing at the pale, smooth skin beneath before he tugs it upwards, “…for I will not save you, widow.”

Butterflies swarm my insides as my eyes lose his, and I don’t bother trying to find them.

I focus instead on the show he gives both Jacob and me, and it is not one we dare to miss.

Toned muscle flexes before me as he shifts, clenching and twisting in ways I want to feel with my fingers and track with my tongue. They match the definition in his arms that seem stronger, sat beneath him.

All of him looks stronger from down here.

He escapes through the bottom with one of his small smiles, and as though that is not damning enough, a few strands of his hair fall to bracket his face as he tosses the shirt between two of us.

I swallow, and if I feel shame beneath my lust, then it disappears when I hear a red-faced Jacob do the same.

He reaches for his board next, plucking it from the sand with no visible effort, and somehow, that doubles the lust already pooling between my legs.

“Is that clear?”

My tongue lolls, as useless as my brain. “What?”

Zhoron laughs, a soft, sweet sound, and I consider whether or not I’m already in the Plains.

“You’d save me, right?” Jacob asks, swallowing again as he pushes himself up onto his knees.

Zhoron nods as he steps close and leans down, offering me the very best view of his figure and Jacob his sweetest side as his lips find Jacob’s. “Of course, I would, Robin.” He pecks him gently and holds his gaze as he whispers. “That is without a doubt.”

I’m having a blast writing this one. I reread all their latest extras going in and ughhhh, I love them!!!

I want to have this out tomorrow, and I’m still aiming for that, but I had a tiny accident that sent me to the A&E, so if I take a day longer, forgive me! But in any case I’ll keep y’all posted as usual!
