The sound of Quinn in the kitchen and Colson in the shower is what wakes me up today.

Each day was a little different – the way I woke up.

Sometimes it was the early morning sunlight that broke through my curtain enough to shine against my eyelids and wake my brain up. Sometimes I woke up to the sound of people speaking while they walked past our house.

But most times, I just woke up because my body had enough rest and woke me up itself.

That was something I never thought I’d experience again. Just waking up like a normal person.
