I stare unblinkingly at the test in my hands with its two prominent red lines.

“Well, shit,”

The flimsy plastic slips through my fingers and thumps within the sink, adding to the pure carnage my bathroom had become.

I wasn’t the cleanest bird in the nest, but I wasn’t a slob by any means, and neither was Apollos. Our bathroom was usually a clean space, with both of our basins kept relatively tidy, but that wasn’t the case today.

Today, it was a fucking mess, all of it, and there wasn’t anyone to blame but me.
